GANNON IN CRISIS MEETING AT POSH

Peterborough manager Jim Gannon will imminently tell chairman Darragh MacAnthony whether his future lies with the club.

The 41-year-old has agreed a long-term contract, but is unsure about relocating his family from Stockport.

He will now meet up with the Posh hierarchy before his final decision is made public in the next 24 hours.

If, as is widely expected, he does decide to part company with the Coca-Cola Championship strugglers it would leave the London Road club searching for their fourth manager of the season.

Speaking after the 4-0 defeat at Scunthorpe, Gannon said: "I've made my decision in the last couple of days already and I'll speak to the chairman and let him know my decision.

"I'll leave it to the club to announce the protocol but from my point of view the last couple of games and the results have had no bearing on it.

"I made a decision based on my overall feeling of where I want to be.

" I think it's only appropriate that I speak to the chairman and maybe I'll get an opportunity to speak to the players."
